8.05.08 – 41/365 – “Pottery Barn Antics”
My beau and I went for dinner at our favorite hibachi place only to find we were there during their self proclaimed ciesta, so we walked over to Pottery Barn to kill some time. This pointless little reflective ball was on sale for some absurd amount of money. It had a nifty little hole in it that happened to be the exact size of my lens. Tricky. Other Pottery Barn antics which eventually got us the “Can we HELP YOU?” (translation “Can you leave, please?”) can be seen here.
8.4.08 – 40/365 – “My Friend”
I come home everyday completely exhausted, physically, yet totally excited to keep my brain activated. My little friend here helps me with that. Lately the shows that begin my daily couch-vegetation process are X-Files and Jon and Kate Plus 8.

Here are my photos from the past few days. Warning: the next week will be a frantic one. No promises here.
8.3.08 – 39/365 – “Peachy”
This was one of many of blooms in a vase in the lobby of the church where I work. I’ve also got some black and white versions in my still life set, if you feel so inclined. I’ve realized how much I enjoy taking still life photography. I don’t have to yell to the get what I want out of the subject. I just move it and if it sucks: USER ERROR.
P.S. Another fun portal into my day can be found here —–>
8.2.08 – 38/365 – “Casey”
Nothing especially amazing here except for this epic mug smiling at the camera. That’s my fella. He’s awesome.

This idyllic little scene came about when I got down to my last two gummi bears of the day (I generally go through a pack a week…very unhealthy I know. Someday, after Armageddon has set in and all human remains are buried deep in the disaster rubble, aliens will come, dig up our fossils, they’ll do all sorts of testing to learn about this previous life form’s eating habits. That’s when they’ll find that these creatures ate massive amounts of toxic rubber-ified sugar…ahh…the mysteries of alien life). ANYWAYS.
So, I thought these last two guys would enjoy a frolic in the forest before they met their hasty demise. I basically just stuck them to my laptop screen. Then I devoured them….

Here are my “365” photos for the last 4 days….It’s been busy to say the least. A million video projects coming in for my freelance, along with two more weddings, and three more headshot sessions to schedule. Hopefully they all pan out, I actually SAVE the money, and everything goes according to plan for November.
“Sarah” – 7.31.08 – 36/365
A close friend of mine had a baby three months ago. I hadn’t seen her since the birth, but finally got to today. We went out for icecream, caught up, and laughed about old times. Her little one, Sarah, is too cute for words. Can’t wait to finish their maternity album this week!
“Stress” – 7.30.08 – 35/365
All the photographers, session designers, presenters, and makeup artists (at my job) were gathered together for a photo shoot (not sure exactly what will end up being used for). While waiting around for my individual portrait I started snapping away. I believe the new system has been wearing on all of us, as can be seen with Alex and Sam.
“Blue Cups” – 7.29.08 – 34/365
Not much inspiration today. As a follow up to yesterdays post, we also have reverted to the crummy blue cups that have been sitting in a cupboard for months. At least their getting used.
“10,000 Spoons” – 7.28.08 – 34/365
As usual my boyfriend and I have procrastinated in regards to the kitchen (specifally the notion of ACTUALLY doing the dishes), so we are stuck without silverware and resort to plasticware. Of course forks are the first to go and then knives (we’re not really soup people), so we’re left with all these spoons. Their too weak for icecream, so maybe I’ll end up making some spoon structure that ends up in a Ripley’s museum.

Another day at the puppy store getting mine and the puppy’s hopes entirely to high. This little girl was as cute as could possibly be and just the right level of mellowness for me and my beau. We definitely could have taken her then and there had we had the appropriate funds.

Jordan, here, is quite the metal head and is always up for the impromptu air drumming fest. This is generally the mandatory face for such an event and has forever changed the lives of everyone Jordan confronts. (Yes, I know this is snapshot quality…because it’s a snapshot)

Sorry about the lag in posting. Total lame-o, I know. I’ve been sooo super busy at work and with my freelance stuff that I’ve barely managed to get a picture a day (aside from the 1,000 I take at work). So here’s the long post with my last six days worth of images. Peace!
7.25.08 – 30/365 – “Accomplishment”
My 30th day of posting! A wonderful surprise awaited me today at work. I work at a portrait studio and have been busting my butt trying to learn as much as I can. Our walls are COVERED in huge, elaborate framed photos of the best work we’ve put out; stuff that really embodies our style and spirit. Today THREE triptych style frames of my very first client were placed around the studio! I’m feel really proud of myself and seeing them really gave me a big boost of self confidence. Definitely the perfect post for my 30th 365 photo!
7.24.08 – 29/365 – “Regret”
Lately my diet consisted of PB&Js, dill pickles, and 100 calorie packs. The last week however it’s been nothing short of awe inspiring. Pizza, nachos, salads, THE WORKS. Unfortunately it’s GOTTA stop because my waistline will increase, my wallet will decrease, and my tastebuds will eventually get used to good food and then it won’t be so special.
7.23.08 – 28/365 – “Torture”
For the last few years I’ve developed a very unhealthy habit of visiting my local mall’s puppy store on a weekly basis. My boyfriend and I will peruse the pups and occasionally hold one in the play area, dream big, and then get swift kick in the ass by reality. This little guy really broke our hearts and unfortunately we had to break his and put him back. I want a dog sooooo bad!! My dream pup is definitely one of these.
7.22.08 – 27/365 – “Neglect”
So my boyfriend and I bought this grill Memorial Day weekend 2006. That was the first and last day it was ever used. It has since become a lovely piece of modern, rusted art on our tiny little porch. This is a still life of the vent on the top of the lid.
7.21.08 – 26/365 – “Shirts”
After my job’s recall on the work wardrobe my closet has been overrun with crazy patterns and fabrics. It hits my a blinding light in the morning when I walk into my closet to pick something out.
7.20.08 – 25/365 – “Snooze Button Magoo”
I wake up to this most mornings since I tend to start work earlier than my boyfriend. No joke, it’s this position every morning. Note the zoo of tiny stuffed animals on the window sill. These are all our "pets" which were won from crane machine games. We’d love to get a dog someday, but for now these will do (plus they are so affordable!). =)
